There are few normal life changes what has such a disruptive effect on our lives as getting a baby. As soon as you bring the little one home your life undergo a total change in terms of your previous routines and habits. Such a change can drain you of emotional and physical energy, you will also be sleeping less than before.
It will take a lot of energy to adjust and still live your purpose. Now you also have a new aspect in your life in which you need to live your purpose. Thus you need to make adjustments. Some things will need to be added and other things removed that you can still live your purpose.
What do you need to get rid of?
You need to eliminate the unnecessary and things that hold you back.
Unnecessary things do not mean it is bad or wrong. It is just things or activities you can do better without. As it will free up energy and time to direct to the important things and people in your life. In 1 Corinthians 10 verse 23, we learn that we can do everything but that not everything is good or beneficial for us. Thus we need to choose the things which are good and needed for you specifically and stop what is not for you, now.
More difficult is to leave behind will be the things holding you back and can cause you to become stuck in your situation. Your bad habits and the strongholds on your life because of Satan's lies.
It is important to identify them and then work through them with God to
rid your life of them. These are the type of things that will drain you
of your energy and prevent you from living your purpose. It is also the
things which can have a negative or long term effect on your family.
The
positives and nicer parts are the things we need in our lives. It
equals the things we need to remove from our lives, in importance. The first is to manage your time. Time are our scarcest commodity, we can never have more our it. It is important to manage your time effectively. The more effective and successful people are the ones who are good at it. Focus on the important people and tasks first which is beneficial to everyone. Plan things that your daily functioning is smooth and easy for your family.
The second is to live intentionally for your purpose in every aspect of your life. Concentrate on the things you are good at – your gifts. Use it in every aspect of your life. It will be what you need to fulfil your purpose.
Lastly, you must use your energy for the most important relationships in your life. That is firstly your relationship with God and your immediate family. It is your relationships where you get the nurture and support you need for difficult times. In your family, you will be cared for and can care for your loved ones.
